The QuikChem8500 is the latest update to Lachat’s ion analyzer system. It uses flow injection analysis (FIA) and features high sample throughput coupled with simple and rapid method changeover to maximize productivity in determining ionic species in a diversity of sample matrices, from sub-ppb to percent concentrations. This product has over 400 methods for environmental, agronomic and industrial applications, including EPA approved methods. Simplified cable and tubing management, leak detection, guaranteed prepared reagents, and a software-controlled heater are just some of the improvements that have been made over the previous system. Lachat’s IC option, Omnion 3.0 software, and accessories, such as the new Precision Dilutor System (PDS) Autodilutor, expand the instrument’s diverse capabilities.

Vertiflo’s Series 1500 and 1600 horizontal end suction vortex pumps are finding new uses in solids handling industries. For applications in sewage treatment plants on primary and secondary sludge of 6% solids and less, these pumps provide an economical option to expensive progressive cavity pumps. The base-mounted 1500 pumps are designed for use with any T frame motor or with virtually any type of drive, and the close-coupled 1600 pumps use any NEMA Standard JP Shaft Motor. Otherwise, these pumps share the same capabilities. Both have capacities to 1000 gpm, heads to 100 feet TDH, temperature to 250 degrees Fahrenheit, fully recessed vortex impeller, with packing or mechanical seal.
