Infilco Degremont's 2PAD is a two-phase anaerobic digestion system designed to enhance digestion processes and to satisfy Class A biosolids requirements in accordance with EPA's 40 CFR Part 503 regulations. Two key sequential phases take place in anaerobic digestion, the acidogenesis and methanogenesis phases.

Its unique conception and efficiency comes from its orientable paddle blades that allow intimate mixing of the lime and dewatered sludge. It also eases maintenance when paddle blades need to be replaced. The mixer can mix from 0.5 to 15 tons/hr of dewatered sludge.

Sludge reduction system
The Fluidyne ISAM™ (Integrated Surge Anoxic Mix) sludge reduction system incorporates a constant level anaerobic basin, followed by a surge/anoxic/mix tank, and an aeration basin that incorporates BOD, TSS and nitrogen removal along with sludge reduction (as much as 85% compared to conventional activated sludge processes) in an integrated system. Wastewater enters a covered anaerobic reactor for pretreatment, sludge thickening and sludge destruction.

The Sultan 34 Dual is a non contact acoustic wave transmitter that can be used for measuring the level of liquids, slurries and solids with the versatility of measuring two different applications at once. The unit emits high powered acoustic wave transmit pulses which are reflected from the surface of the material(s) being measured. The reflected signals are processed using specially developed software to enhance the correct signal and reject false or spurious echoes. Komline-Sanderson offers complete biosolids drying systems capable of handling in excess of 1,000 tons of wet cake per day. Dryers are designed to use steam or thermal fluid with heat supplied from the combustion of natural gas, digester gas, landfill gas, or fuel oil. Excess heat from combustion engines or turbines can also be used to heat thermal fluid or produce steam. The dryer's shaft, hollow paddles, and trough are all heated. The robust design and low speed with minimal rotating parts results in reduced maintenance costs. Indirect drying using the airtight dryer results in minimal off-gas volume which allows simplified odor control systems and safe operation.
