GE Sensing has released the Panaflow ISX transit-time ultrasonic flowmeter. The multi-path, wetted flowmeter solution is a 2-wire loop powered device. It can be used for a variety of liquid applications, including water, solvents and chemicals. pH monitor

The Model 4605 is a new, low cost, continuous pH monitor that provides a written record of pH variation over many hours or days of operation. Water leak detectors

The submersible, portable Meter-Master Model 100EL Flow Recorder, available from F.S. Brainard, can generate water utility customer usage profiles for high bill complaints, water audits, meter sizing, hydraulic modeling, and other applications. The recorder uses a magnetic sensor to digitize a meter’s magnetic drive signal and then logs the pulse count into memory. No electrical or mechanical connection is required.

RFID tags

William Frick & Co. has expanded its SmartMark RFID offering to include tags specifically designed for pipes. These durable, patent-pending RFID tags provide solid read ranges of up to 15 feet and can record over 200 characters of text. They have a service life of up to 10 years. The new pipe tags feature a rubber loop that fastens to pipes with cable ties. Their vulcanized rubber design makes them impact and temperature resistant and provides reliable performance even when placed against metal. TDS monitor

HM Digital’s QC-1 is a “Push-to-Test” TDS monitor designed to monitor the effectiveness of any water purification and filtration system that removes TDS. The unit is battery operated and can be installed in minutes. It has eight programmable settings (by dip switch) ranging between 1 and 50 ppm. Once installed, a user simply needs to press the button. If the TDS level is below the set point, a green light will be illuminated. If above the set point, a red light will illuminate, indicating service is required.

The interface provides a combined battery powered, wireless monitoring and alarming system for concentrations of hydrogen sulfide, with the rugged construction required to operate in a sewer environment.
