CALGARY, Alberta, Canada, Nov. 15, 2005 -- Telvent, a global real-time information technology company, has signed a contract with Guangdong Dapeng LNG Co. Ltd. in ShenZhen, China, to collaborate in the provision of technological solutions for the "Liquefied Natural Gas Project" that is part of China´s bid to restructure its energy sector. The total value for the contract is US$1,204,403.

The project is part of China's bid to use more clean energy, including liquefied natural gas. Expected to be completed and put into operation by 2006, the project is anticipated to supply 5.1 billion cubic meters of liquefied natural gas to the Pearl River Delta area as well as Hong Kong.

Telvent will provide its Gas Measurement & Accounting System (GMAS), Gas Day Operations (GDO) and Pipeline Operations Logistics and Revenue Information System (POLARIS) business applications. GMAS will allow for accurate flow measurement, data collection, aggregation and validation. GDO will allow planning personnel to generate, monitor and revise predicted load for current and future gas days. And POLARIS Gas will be used to integrate contracts, nominations, scheduling, volumetric and revenue accounting, thereby minimizing manual data entry and adding accurate, near real-time response to reporting processes.

As Manuel Sanchez Ortega, chairman and CEO of Telvent, commented, "Since starting operations in China 17 years ago, Telvent has built a sizeable franchise and become a significant contributor to the development and modernization of the country's infrastructure. Through Guandong Dapeng's use of Telvent's comprehensive, flexible and trustworthy solutions, our technology is helping to meet future business needs as the restructuring of China's energy sector continues."
