FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, Sept. 14, 2005 (PRNewswire-FirstCall) -- Enviro Voraxial Technology Inc. (EVTN) has signed a contract with China Offshore Oil Bohai Corp. to deploy a Voraxial® Separator on an offshore oil production platform for a produced water (oil/water) separation application. China Offshore Oil Bohai Corp. is a wholly owned subsidiary of CNOOC, China's third largest oil company.

The Voraxial Separator will be used to enhance the handling of large volumes of produced water and re-injection water on one of their offshore production platforms. The technology provides for superior separation while decreasing the amount of space, energy and weight to conduct the separation -- all of which are precious commodities on the offshore platform. The unit has been specifically designed to accommodate the offshore equipment requirements. Offshore oil platform production space represents some of the most expensive real estate in the world. New regulations in this market, including the raising of the discharge water purity standards, will be difficult to address with standard equipment and will provide significant opportunities for EVTN.

"The Voraxial Separator's product attributes make it a perfect oil/water separation solution for the oil industry, especially for offshore production platforms. Besides performing a superior separation of crude oil from water, the Voraxial Separator also reduces the space, energy and weight to conduct this separation, making the platform more economical," said John A. DiBella, Enviro Voraxial vice president. "Virtually every platform has oil/water separation issues and we see this deployment as the initial step in penetrating the oil industry."

Enviro Voraxial Technology Inc.'s patented Voraxial Separator is a cost-efficient, continuous flow separator that simultaneously separates liquid/liquid, liquid/solid or liquid/liquid/solid mixtures at extremely high flow rates while achieving very high levels of purity. The advantage of the technology over conventional technologies is in its ability to produce a real-time, high "g" centrifugal force to yield a high-purity product or products at a volume of 3 gpm to over 10,000 gpm. The technology is scaleable and nearly universal in its implementation. Although it's applicable to almost any industry separation process, the company is focusing its near-term efforts in the following five vertical markets: municipal wastewater industry, oil exploration and production, oil refineries, mining, and manufacturing. EVTN (www.evtn.com) is continuing to develop and market its Voraxial Separator as stand-alone technology as well as a key component of a turnkey separation system to improve the efficiency of self-contained treatment systems for multiple applications.
