Oct. 8, 2002 -- McElroy Manufacturing, Inc, has increased its electronic design capabilities by purchasing Insight Engineering, LLC. Insight Engineering is an electronic engineering firm based in Tulsa Ok. and has designed and developed electronic products for a variety of customers worldwide.

The merger will strengthen electronic production aspects of the MMI product line as well as develop unlimited opportunities for electronic ventures.

Insight Engineering's abilities include embedded microprocessor design, analog/digital data acquisition, control systems, software development, and product design from concept through production.

Insight has developed over 20 electronic products in the last few years for various industries, including Flight Simulation, Oil and Gas, and Water Treatment. Insight Engineering will continue to operate and service the existing Insight customers as a new division of MMI.

As part of the Insight Engineering acquisition, Patrick J. (PJ) Bennett, P.E., the founder and Senior Partner of Insight has joined MMI and will be leading the new Insight Engineering Division.

"This merger will enable Insight Engineering to become a premiere product design and development firm worldwide," said Bennett who has over 15 years experience in electronic design.

"One of the things that is lacking in the electronics industry is the ability to have a product designed for you and then have that product manufactured for you by the same firm. McElroy has the manufacturing abilities along with the mechanical engineering staff to help Insight be the complete solution for our customers. We're now equipped to help customers from the beginning of an idea, through packaging their product for the shelf."
