Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, Oct. 31, 2003 -- Cogsdale Corp., an information technology company specializing in utility and municipal customer service billing and financial software has been contracted by the City of Ellensburg, to create a more streamlined and flexible system to manage their utility billing and financial system.

The City of Ellensburg, Washington delivers customer service and billing requirements for water, wastewater, electricity and natural gas for approximately 8,817 customers.

Bob Titus, Director of Energy Services for Ellensburg, says the switch to Cogsdale CSM will streamline processes and provide the City with the flexibility it will need in the coming years. "We were extremely impressed with Cogsdale Customer Service Management (CSM) utility billing and customer information system. Cogsdale CSM, a fully integrated Utility Billing and Customer Information System/MGP Financial System, will eliminate multiple entries of the same data and provide near real-time access to information. We anticipate that the transition to this software solution will enable the City to provide more responsive service to our rapidly increasing customer base without the need to add employees."

Cogsdale's Co-President Duncan Shaw feels that the hands-on approach to implementation, characteristic of his company, is crucial to the success of the project. "Our Professional Services staff is dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition to the new system, allowing the customer to focus on business as usual."

In addition to providing implementation services for the Microsoft Great Plains financial/business application system, Cogsdale Corporation develops and supports Cogsdale Customer Service Management (CSM), a powerful software application for managing the complex billing and customer information needs of water, wastewater, electric, natural gas, telecommunication utilities and municipalities. Currently, the growing list of Cogsdale CSM clients process more than two million transactions every month. Built on the Microsoft Great Plains platform, Cogsdale CSM is setting new standards in functionality, ease of use and flexibility.
