VOORHEES, NJ, Nov. 25, 2013 -- BioAir Solutions, LLC, a biological odor control company, recently announced the completion of its 100th installation of its biotrickling filter technology at a municipal wastewater treatment plant in Baton Rouge, La.

Called the EcoFilter®, the system helps remove organic and inorganic odors in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment applications. BioAir's technology also provides process control of the critical factors of moisture content, pH and nutrients in addition to providing optimized mass transfer of odorous compounds and the ability to treat high odor loadings. Accordingly, the company's EcoBase® structured synthetic media with engineered flow channels delivers uniform performance across the media bed and through the life of the system.

EcoFilter eliminates odors using no hazardous chemicals and no consumables such as carbon, which is required to be landfilled when spent. With a 20-year plus life span, the system can help meet the odor control needs of plants and conveyance systems both large and small. EcoFilter is also easy to expand and upgrade and can be scaled to meet the odor control requirements now and in the future.
