Analog Ethernet modules
Acromag's XT1230 and XT1240 models, part of the BusWorks® XT Series of Ethernet I/O modules, provide a 16-channel interface for single-ended analog current or voltage input signals with Ethernet/IP, Modbus/TCP, Profinet, or i2o® peer-to-peer communication. The space-saving, inch-wide design features dual Ethernet ports, removable front-facing terminal blocks and DIN rail power bus support. Its convenient USB-to-PC connection and free Windows software makes configuration quick and uncomplicated. Suitable for use in harsh environments, all modules operate from -40 to +70°C with noise immunity, surge protection and CE compliance.
Markland meters use safe ultrasound (no permits/approvals needed) to measure and monitor slurry and sludge concentrations in pipes, tanks, re-circulation loops, and clarifiers. They automate sludge removal by enabling users to program underflow pumps to shut off before sludge becomes too thin. These instruments help operators determine dry/liquid additive dosages for preferred concentrations, as well as flocculent dosages for improved filter press performance. These efficiencies improve outflow available for reuse. The inline pipe spool-piece sensor is non-intrusive and simple to install, calibrate and clean.
OleumTech™ has announced the launch of its RS485 I/O Expansion System. The system is compatible with any Modbus RS485 Master device and requires no software configuration. Designed for smooth installation and ease of use, it can be deployed with tool-free mounting on a 35-mm DIN rail. The system is an economical solution for industrial applications in a variety of markets including oil and gas, utilities, petro-chem, irrigation, and more. Further, the modules offer field isolated inputs and outputs, and the RS485 interface supports up to 16 slave addresses for high scalability.
For monitoring and control in challenging environments, SignalFire Wireless Telemetry offers the Remote Shutdown System (RSDS), which can shut down assets remotely with the fail-safe logic necessary for wireless operation of critical systems. Eliminating the need for costly conduit runs, this long-range (3+ miles) wireless telemetry system can be configured with either a PLC monitoring system or a SignalFire Gateway-controlled standalone system that can monitor inputs and generate control commands autonomously. The RSDS interfaces with any type of sensor and transmits the data wirelessly to a SignalFire Gateway.
Addressing the growing customer demand for engaging 3D graphic visualization of business processes, Mitsubishi Electric has announced the release of MC Works64®, a PC-based SCADA software suite that improves the visibility of manufacturing operations. Graphical user interfaces, alarm and event management and data logging and trending are core features supported by MC Works64. Other key features include visibility for geographically dispersed assets; grid visualization of large data sets; advanced application event scheduling; centralized configuration and runtime interface; and OPC-UA connectivity offering universal connectivity to data.

Leak detection kit
The new Spectroline® OLK-402 Industrial Leak Detection Kit accurately pinpoints leaks in water- and water/glycol-based industrial systems. It allows inspection of the entire system under all operating conditions. At the heart of the kit is the OPTI-LUX™ 400 high-intensity, violet-light LED leak detection flashlight. Its high-output light causes dyes to fluoresce more brilliantly and with greater contrast than with standard blue light inspection lamps. The rechargeable lamp is compact and lightweight and has an inspection range of up to 25 ft. (7.6 m) or more.
Groschopp has introduced a family of brushless DC motor controls for its entire product line of BLDC motors and gear motors. Designed to provide commutated power and variable speed control, these closed-loop controls provide excellent speed regulation over a wide range of loads. Compact, economical and efficient, Groschopp brushless speed controls are ideal where high torque, high speed and quiet operation are needed.
ProSoft's MVI56E-LDM module is a ControlLogix® backplane compatible module that allows Rockwell Automation ControlLogix processors to interface with relatively any Ethernet or serial device. With the available development kit DVD, the user controls exactly what this module can do. ProSoft's Linux Development Modules make it possible for users to easily develop and deploy C/C++ applications that interface with Bar Code Scanners, Legacy ASCII protocols, Terminal Port Emulation, Printer Drivers (Alarm/Status printer), or any other device requiring custom/proprietary Ethernet and serial communications.
