The rugged yet lightweight device is designed for field balancing of rotating machinery in one plane or two planes. Level meter

Krohne's new Optiflex 2200 C/F level meter for liquids and solids features software-based dynamic parasite rejection (DPR) technology that eliminates false reflections caused by environmental disturbances and product build-up. The 2-wire device is the newest addition to the company's time domain reflectometry (TDR) guided radar level meters. Digital positioner

Spirax Sarco has released the SP500 HART® electro-pneumatic digital positioner supporting HART® communication protocol. The protocol allows for digital data transfer and communication over existing 4-20mA wiring, requiring no additional power supply or wiring to the positioner. Through the protocol, the positioner can be configured and process parameters updated or modified remotely using a PC or handheld device.

Filtration system

H2O Inc. has added the Monsoon self-cleaning filtration system to its product line. The compact, lightweight, self-cleaning filtration package removes 99.9 percent of particles larger than 20 microns from seawater. It can replace all large, heavy multimedia filters currently used for seawater filtration. The filter is ideal for use with seawater or other corrosives because it is constructed with high alloy and fiberglass. It does not require regular filter changes or maintenance.

Filter bags

Hayward Flow Control now offers an expanded Filter Bag product Line. The line now includes bag sizes 1 (16") and 2 (32"), with material options in Polypropylene, Polyester and Nylon. The new selection includes Needle Felt and Monofilament Mesh in sewn or welded construction. They are an ideal fit to the new FLV Series Filter from Hayward. Available with PP Rings or PP Flanges, the bags are available from 1 to 800 micron rating for diversified separation in liquid systems or to protect any process application.

Water baths

A line of general purpose water baths designed to provide temperature control in a wide variety of clinical and laboratory applications is available from PolyScience. Stainless steel enclosures

Water service filter

Schroeder Industries has introduced its WQF5 Water Service Filter for applications that include mining. The medium pressure, 300 gpm filter is designed to eliminate contamination in the water used to make invert emulsions like 95/5 fluids often used in underground mining applications. The WQF5 is a Q size housing that is nickel-plated for service in water applications, and features a 40 lb bypass spring. It is offered with the company's Excellement® Z-Media™ ranging from 25 to 1 micron and Metal Mesh Media in 60 and 150 micron.
