Westlock Controls has launched its new website, providing a useful resource to plant engineers looking to assess its range of valve monitoring and control systems. The new website incorporates an enhanced technical support area that features new material, including product specifications and technical datasheets, standard wiring diagrams and installation and maintenance instructions. Technical bulletins also provide visitors with industry best practice advice and guidance on key topics such as Hazardous Area Classification, SIL Safety Integrity Levels and Enclosure Standards.
The Vortab company has published a new brochure discussing its flow conditioners. The various inline and insertion style Vortab Flow Conditioner products consist of a short section of swirl reduction tabs combined with multiple arrays of profile conditioning tabs. This design produces rapid cross-stream mixing, minimizes swirl and velocity profile distortions and produces a repeatable flow profile that is measurable across a broad flow range.
Abanaki has created a new website designed to help users select the proper oil skimmer and related belt accessory materials. A renovated product section allows the user to navigate directly from the home page to the proper product category, without any additional clicks. The user can easily select the proper oil skimmer, tube skimmer, or coolant maintenance for the appropriate application.
seepex has published a new brochure outlining options and details for its packaged metering systems. The skid-based systems are designed to eliminate the time and costs associated with engineering, procuring, assembling, and commissioning flow control systems. The skids can deliver thin to highly viscous liquids as well as corrosive and solid laden chemicals. With chemical resistant materials, all skid components will hold up in harsh acidic and caustic chemical environments.
The American Galvanizers Association (AGA) has developed a new white paper, Zinc in the Water Environment, to address the growing misconceptions about zinc in stormwater runoff. The paper examines six case studies of galvanized bridges and docks in aquatic environments and studies the existing background zinc levels and flow rates of the waterways, as well as the corrosion rate of zinc and the introduction of zinc during storm events. In each case study, the addition of zinc to the water environment is not enough to exceed the criterion level defined by the U.S. Federal Clean Water Act as the amount of zinc causing toxicity to aquatic organisms.
American Sensor Technologies has released a new industrial OEM pressure sensor catalog featuring various sensor, transducer and transmitter products. Featuring a new layout, the new catalog offers more detailed information regarding product performance and simpler tools for selecting the best options. A two-page dimensional data section helps engineers specify the mechanical process connection and electrical connector dimensions of various pressure sensors. AST also lists various approvals and standards in which products are approved via third-party agencies.
TB Wood's has recently introduced its Sure-Flex® and Dura-Flex® online coupling selector at www.tbwoods.com/coupling-selector.asp. The online tool allows users to quickly select the right coupling for a specific application. Users simply enter required application data and any special requirements needed. A list of several recommended couplings, including list prices, rating and dimensional data for each, is instantly displayed based on the specification criteria provided.
Ashcroft has created a product guide specifically for the water treatment and wastewater industries. Based on the company's extensive application engineering experience, the guide will help direct customers to the most relevant pressure or temperature measurement and control devices for their specific application.
