BOSTON,MA AND SANTA ROSA, CA, MAY 13, 2016 -- Cambrian Innovation, provider of distributed water and wastewater solutions for industrial producers, today announced a partnership with a new Sonoma County brewery. Seismic Brewing Company is in the midst of construction on their state-of-the-art brewery in Santa Rosa, California. They will be installing an EcoVolt Mini onsite to convert theirspent brewing water into reusable water in one simple container.

"When I set out to start one of the most sustainable breweries in America, it was clear that water would be a central component – especially in California. I knew Cambrian would be the right partner to help solve our water challenges. When I said I wanted a water:beer ratio of 2:1, they had a solution ready to order," said Chris Jackson, founder and CEO of Seismic. "Our onsite water treatment and reuse system, coupled with our various clean energy initiatives, will help us drive down our brewery's resource and carbon footprint. The sky is the limit for where we can conserve in the beer-making process – and we're excited to fly."

The EcoVolt solution will allow Seismic to reuse water by completely removing contaminants and solids from the spent brewing water. While none of the recycled water will enter the final product, it will be used for numerous industrial processes in the brewery. At full capacity, the system will produce over 10,000 therms of clean heat per year, eliminating over 53 metric tons of CO2 per year, the equivalent of planting over 45 acres of trees every year. This installation will support Seismic's planned expansion to 25,000 barrels of beer per year by 2018.

"The mission driving Chris and Seismic is the same mission that drives Cambrian Innovation: to help industry lead the way to a more sustainable and profitable future. We couldn't be more excited about this partnership," said Cambrian Innovation Founder and CEO Matthew Silver. "In California, water risk is high, and businesses have a unique opportunity to go green while saving money. We are thrilled to have the chance to help Seismic achieve their goals."

The EcoVolt Mini is an all-in-one water treatment and reuse system. Designed for small and midsize food and beverage producers, the Mini rapidly removes over 99.9 percent of contaminants and solids from the waste stream, producing reusable water. The system is automated, cutting down on operating expenses and radically reducing the headache of dealing with wastewater.

Seismic Brewing Company has an ambitious list of beers being developed, brewed, and curated by a standout team comprised of some of the greatest young brewers in California.
