MINNEAPOLIS, MN, July 31, 2006 - The American Filtration & Separations Society's conference to be held Oct 16-18 2006 in Pittsburgh PA, has been designed to provide valuable technical and networking opportunities for utility managers, operators, engineers, scientists, government officials, consultants and filtration/separation industry experts.

Topics of special interest to the power generation industry include: integrated gasification, high temperature flue gas conditioning, clean coal technology, avoiding CO2 emissions, fuel processing, membrane-based separations, water reuse and treatment, Hg removal, electrostatic precipitation and standardization society test methods.

The association will host its 20th anniversary annual meeting as a co-located event with the WQA Aquatech USA exhibition March 27-31 in Orlando.

The American Filtration & Separations Society (AFS) is a nonprofit association organized for the benefit of educating and networking filtration and separation industry professionals. It holds an annual conference each spring and a topical conference each fall. Industry professionals from around the world present technical papers on leading technical advances in the filtration and separation industry.
