Splatt will oversee McCrometer's regional flow meter sales for both the oil & gas and process industries. He'll report to Tom Swihart, director of industrial sales worldwide.

Splatt brings to his new role both sales and technical experience in the Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Power, Metals & Mining, Food & Beverage, and Commercial Energy/HVAC industries. His experience, combined with an extensive background in flow metering, application solutions, commissioning, DCS and control instrumentation, brings key benefits to McCrometer's Asia Pacific customers and partners.

"We are excited to recruit David Splatt, a highly-regarded member of our Australian partner, Tyco Flow Control, since 1997 to his new role. David will be helping our Asia Pacific customers and partners to solve complex flow metering problems," said Tom Swihart, Director of Industrial Sales Worldwide. "David's deep process instrumentation field and management experience makes a major contribution to our Asia Pacific capabilities. His domain expertise was honed in the trenches. He managed a flow test facility, DCS engineering and configuration, and field commissioning as well as sales and technical personnel. David Splatt's proven track record in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Power, Metals & Mining, Food & Beverage, and Commercial Energy/HVAC industries is key to our mission. David will assist McCrometer's Asia Pacific sales team to do what McCrometer does best -- develop innovative flow measurement solutions for the real world," Swihart added.

Splatt began his career with Fischer and Porter in the late 1970s as an Instrument Technician, working his way up to the position of Western Australian Manager before leaving in 1997. For the last eight years David has served as the Western Australian instrumentation Product Coordinator for McCrometer's Australian representative, Tyco Flow Control. He has built an excellent technical and customer support reputation by providing training and technical sales support for Tyco's sales representatives and clients.

McCrometer's innovative instrumentation solutions solve a wide variety of flow measurement challenges in municipal water/waste, oil & gas production, industrial processes, electric power generation, institutional facilities and agriculture.

The V-Cone® Flowmeter solves challenging fluid applications and operates in some of the harshest environments. This advanced differential pressure-type (DP) flowmeter offers high accuracy and repeatability and flexible installation for the widest range of fluids.

Process engineers with small line size processes looking for precision flow measurement specify the Wafer-Cone® Flowmeter for its superior accuracy and repeatability. The unit provides an easy to install space-saving instrument requiring almost no maintenance and a long life, reducing installation and life-cycle costs.

The Mc® Propeller Flowmeter provides a leading-edge propeller flow sensing design, ease-of-use and excellent value in agricultural and turf irrigation applications, as well as other industrial process applications requiring high volume water use. Additional McCrometer flow solutions include the Ultra Mag® Flowmeter designed specifically to meet the water/wastewater industry liquid flow needs, and the Water Specialties Propeller Meters™. These meters are designed and manufactured with precise techniques, high quality components and are perfect to measure clean water flows.

After 50 years, McCrometer has become one of the industry's most trusted flow measurement resources. The company concentrates solely on flow meter technologies. McCrometer's innovative instrumentation solutions solve a broad range of complex flow measurement challenges.
