VANCOUVER, BC, Canada, June 3, 2010 -- BioteQ Environmental Technologies Inc., a leader in the treatment of industrial wastewater, has re-started operations at the BioSulphide® plant in Bisbee Arizona, a joint venture operation with Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. ("Freeport"). Following a scheduled furlough, the plant has ramped up to full capacity, and is recovering dissolved copper generated by recirculating water through a low-grade stockpile at the site. The plant has returned to its previous production levels. BioteQ and Freeport equally share the copper revenues and plant operating costs.

"We are pleased that this important asset is again generating recurring revenue and contributing positive cash flow," stated Brad Marchant, BioteQ's Chief Executive Officer. "Our goal with the furlough was to re-structure operations to reduce costs while continuing to meet our high safety and environmental standards. We believe this goal has been achieved, with the support of our joint venture partner, Freeport."
