STUART, FL, July 8, 2010 -- Ecosphere Technologies Inc., a diversified water engineering and environmental services company announces that it has signed a significant contract with Mid-Gulf Recovery Services, LLC to utilize its Ecosphere Ozonix technology. Mid-Gulf will supply Ecosphere's Ozonix technology to clean wastewater throughout the Gulf region for BP. The patented Ecosphere Ozonix technology is a non-chemical water treatment system that will be used to treat gray and black wastewaters to meet allowable discharge requirements.

Glen Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Mid-Gulf Recovery Services, stated, "Mid-Gulf's expertise is responding to natural disasters with a total solution package for our customers. We are presently offering a wide range of equipment and services to BP under our Master Service Contract. We have studied all of the various water treatment technologies and companies in the Gulf area over the past several months. We have determined that Ecosphere's Ozonix process complements our commitment to protecting the environment by using a non-chemical process to treat wastewater while at the same time providing a highly oxygenated water to enrich the marine life. The fact that Ecosphere already has the experienced technical personnel and the most state of the art equipment ready to deploy immediately is the reason we were able to sign this important contract with Ecosphere."
