Lakehaven Utility District selects CUSI and UMS.net for billing, CIS

JONESBORO, AR, Aug. 20, 2007 -- Continental Utility Solutions Inc. (CUSI), a leading provider of utility billing software to the public sector, announced today that Lakehaven Utility District has contracted to purchase and implement the UMS.net Utility Billing and Customer Information System.

UMS.net was developed using Microsoft's .Net toolset and will provide Lakehaven Utility District with state-of-the-art technology to improve customer service, operational efficiency and better manage data across departments in providing water and sewer service to approximately 35,000 customers in Federal Way, Washington. The utility billing software implementation will incorporate several modules available within the entire UMS.net CIS solution including Resident ASP.net Web Services, AMR Interface Module, Accounting Interface Module, and the Electronic Payment Module.

Providing water and sewer service to the Federal Way area for more than 50 years, Lakehaven Utility District is a municipal corporation of the State of Washington. The water system includes 400 miles of mainline, 22 wells and 12 storage tanks with an approximate storage capacity of 31 million gallons. The sewer system includes 350 miles of mainline, 27 pump stations and two secondary wastewater treatment plants.
