TULSA, OK, April 11, 2007 -- Timm Dower, publisher of the PennWell Water Group, is pleased to announce two position changes among the Group's editorial staff. The Group publishes WaterWorld, Industrial WaterWorld and Water & Wastewater International magazines, as well as several general and niche e-newsletters related to global water and wastewater treatment markets.

Carlos David Mogollon, managing editor of Industrial WaterWorld, takes on additional duties as managing editor of Water & Wastewater International. Both are bimonthly business-to-business (B2B) trade magazines. Previously also Group web content and e-newsletter editor, Mogollon passes on those duties to the Group's new digital media editor, Angela Godwin.

Mogollon has been with PennWell since July 2004, serving previously for nearly eight years as an editor for WC&P International, also known as Water Conditioning & Purification Magazine. In June 2001, he also launched Agua Latinoamerica for that company. Before that, he spent nearly a decade as a newspaper journalist, working largely as a business reporter and business editor at various Gannett dailies and specializing in economic development, industrial and international business issues. He holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University-Bloomington in journalism and Latin American studies.

"I look forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead in growing Water & Wastewater International magazine, both in terms of readership and additional editorial features to address the growing complexities of water quality issues worldwide," Mogollon said. "It will be nice reconnecting with contacts overseas and helping them reach out to provide environmental solutions where they're most needed."

Godwin, a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, comes to the Water Group from PennWell's CleanRooms Group, which serves contamination-control professionals in the semiconductor, bio/pharmaceutical, electronics, food processing and other industries requiring clean or ultraclean manufacturing environments and processes. There, she spent three years as managing editor for CleanRooms magazine, where she was involved not only with the print publication but with e-newsletters, website initiatives, and trade shows and events. Prior to joining PennWell, Godwin was the dictionary quality assurance editor for SDL International's machine translation division, as well as the managing editor at Transparent Language, Inc., a language-learning software company based in Merrimack, NH.

"I'm pleased to join PennWell's Water Group as digital media editor and look forward to utilizing the various new online tools available in the digital marketplace to enhance its Web exposure," said Godwin. Planned initiatives include podcasts, streaming video, webcasts, and white papers. She also plans on further refining the e-newsletter offerings to be more useful for readers and to better serve the water treatment professional community.
