OTTAWA, ON, Canada, Oct. 4, 2004 -- Control Microsystems today announced that it has shipped its 100,000th controller during the month of September. As manufacturer of the popular SCADAPack programmable logic controllers and remote terminal units, Control Microsystems has experienced steady growth over two decades of competing in the global market of industrial and public utility applications.
"We are very proud of our position today," said James Holtom, president of Control Microsystems. "Our success was not won overnight; this is a company that paved its way through hard work in product development, manufacturing and hands on customer service."
Today, the proof is in the numbers. With a specific focus in the oil and gas and water management sectors, the 100,000 installed units makes Control Microsystems a leading contender in the SCADA products market.
In addition to their main SCADAPack series, Control Microsystems recently introduced a range of networking products including wireless and Ethernet communication modules that are now options in all their controllers. In 2003, the company unveiled a line of Modbus pressure and multivariable transmitters which immediately grabbed a significant market share.
"Control Microsystems has continuously provided the quality and reliability we need in the demanding environment of oil and gas production," said Andre Vizina, Chief Automation Engineer for Pegasus International. "The SCADAPack products simply work".
Not the type of company to sit still, Control Microsystems is expected to announce further expansion to their product line this year.
