Smart H2O Summit Comprehensive Conference Program To Address New Technology Solutions for Municipalities

SAN FRANCISCO — The three-day conference will feature experts from utilities and municipalities who are championing the technology revolution and the suppliers developing the innovative systems and solutions.

SAN FRANCISCO —  Smart H2O Summit has announced the preliminary line-up of sessions and speakers for its robust Conference Program taking place August 17-19 at the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco.

Featuring the leading experts from utilities and municipalities who are championing the technology revolution and the suppliers developing the innovative systems and solutions, the three-day conference will focus on water and sewer infrastructure, long-term water supply and reuse, desalination, financing for capital improvements, the impact of big data, and public understanding of water resources, systems and services.

“It is very difficult for municipalities to keep up with constantly changing technologies and its even more challenging to create an innovative culture that is ready to embrace new trends and get projects financed,” said John Pearson, Conference Program Co-chair. “We created Smart H2O Summit to provide utilities and other municipal water stewards with a unique environment to explore the opportunities and limits of new technologies of all kinds.”

Pearson added that senior management will have the opportunity to network in special sessions, including panels on how to create innovation in utilities, future water pricing strategies, financing the changes needed in the network and managing the public perceptions of new technologies.

“The Smart H2O Summit will be a learning experience like no other in the water conservation marketplace,” said Sebastian Bizzari, Conference Co-chair. “In addition to the insightful Conference sessions, Smart H2O Summit will feature thought-provoking keynotes from publicly and privately owned utilities, a ‘best-practices’ tour to a local water utility and a Hackathon on how to use data to improve performance.”
