WateReuse Association Symposium abstract deadline is Feb. 7

The theme for 2019’s WateReuse Symposium is “Collaborate to Innovate,” which seeks to showcase how collaborations within the recycled water community can lead to innovative solutions for managing water resources in the water utilities, industrial, food and beverage, manufacturing and energy sectors. The abstract submission deadline for the 34th Annual WateReuse Symposium is Feb. 7. Presenters will be notified of their selection by March 31.

British Water appoints chief executive

British Water, an international trade association for the industrial water/wastewater industry, named Lila Thompson chief executive. Thompson, previously the international director, is the first woman to lead the organization. Thompson has been with British Water for more than 13 years and has a Bachelor of Science in economic and social policy.

Registration open for WWEMA forum

The 46th Water & Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) Washington Forum will be held April 3–5 at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Washington, D.C. Members and guests in the water industry will gather to discuss regulations and policies for the industry. WWEMA will join other water associations to celebrate Water Week 2019.
