ATLANTA, Ga. — WaterSignal has announced that it has installed wireless water usage monitors at two of Atlanta's largest shopping malls, according to a press release.
The systems monitor water usage in real time at Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, the release continued, sending usage data wirelessly to a website portal to view water consumption by month, day or hour.
"After successful installations in commercial properties around the country, we are excited to enter a new vertical market that has the same needs of conserving water, detecting leaks and lowering water costs," sates Scott Kale, vice president of WaterSignal.
The monitoring system is useful for its protection against leaks, in which case it will alert the manager or engineer immediately and reduce the costs associated with leaks, the release noted.
According to the release, the monitor can also help in water conservation efforts and reduce water bills by 14 percent on average.
