ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Water professionals can now register for the Nutrient Symposium 2015, hosted by the Water Environment Federation (WEF), the Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) and the California Water Environment Association (CWEA), according to a press release.

The event will be held July 26-28 in San Jose, California, noted the release. It will focus on how nutrient issues around the globe can be dealt with through practical design and process operations.

The conference features a presymposium workshop, exhibition, facility tour, presentations and an interactive discussion, stated the release. The discussion will include several topics such as nutrient removal and recovery, research and new technologies, lessons learned, compliance strategies and more.

“Utility staff, consultants, regulators and vendors who are addressing nutrients at water resource recovery facilities” are encouraged to attend, reported the release.

WEF will release The Nutrient Roadmap on June 25 and Shortcut Nitrogen Removal—Nitrite Shunt and Deammonificationon on June 30, shared the release. Symposium registrants can preorder these titles at up to 32 percent off the list price.
