GENEVA, Switzerland — The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced the launch of Round I testing for the International Scheme to Evaluate Household Water Treatment Technologies (the Scheme), according to a press release.
The Scheme has involved over a year of preparation and greatly benefited from the input of many network members, noted the release.
Applications to submit products for consideration in Round I of testing are currently being sought, continued the release, with a submission deadline of March 10.
WHO has also released a Scheme Procedure document, providing information on the process for testing and evaluation, and a Report of survey on demand for testing in WHO Scheme with over 100 manufacturers responding, representing all regions of the world, the release reported.
