LISLE, Ill. — Dec. 9, 2015 — The Water Quality Association (WQA) has opportunities for volunteers to serve on several committees that report to the board of directors, according to a press release.

The eight committees include the Communications Committee; Events Committee; Federal Government Affairs Committee; Industry Research Committee; Membership Committee; Professional Certification & Training Committee; Regional & State Government Affairs Committee; and Water Science Committee, stated the release.

WQA member company employees are encouraged to apply or recommend their peers as volunteers, noted the release. To access the application and recommendation forms, members will login to their online accounts.

Volunteers can also serve on WQA’s Product Certification Advisory council, reported the release. These volunteers must be employed by member companies that have one or more WQA-certified products.

Applications and recommendations must be submitted by Dec. 31, shared the release. Committee members will be chosen by Feb. 1, 2016. Staff liaisons listed on the committees’ main pages can answer any questions regarding the application process.
