WSC names new member to board of directors

WASHINGTON — The Water Systems Council (WSC) is a nonprofit organization committed to protecting U.S. groundwater resources and to ensuring household private well users have safe, reliable drinking water.

WASHINGTON — The Water Systems Council (WSC) has named Marc Blais, vice president of the Americas region for Xylem Inc. Applied Water Systems (AWS), to its board of directors, according to a press release.

Blais joined Xylem Inc. in 2011 as the managing director of AWS-Canada, and was named vice president of AWS-Americas in 2014, stated the release.

He is responsible for AWS-Americas’ distribution, sales and customer service in Canada, Mexico and the U.S., continued the release.

Prior to Xylem Inc., Blais was the managing director of ITT Residential & Commercial Water Canada and also held the position of general manager at Wajax Industrial Components' Fluid Handling Division, reported the release.

"Marc's extensive management experience will be an invaluable resource for our board," said Steve Anderson, WSC board president. "We have many exciting national initiatives underway that affect the water well industry and we look forward to utilizing Marc's expertise to bring them all to fruition."
