TELFORD, England — The International Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring Conference and Exhibition (WWEM) will be held at the Telford International Centre, Nov. 5-6.

TELFORD, England — The organizers of the International Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring Conference and Exhibition (WWEM), have announced three new events that will take place during this year’s show, according to a press release.

Based on WWEM2014’s monitoring theme, there will be two new forums focusing on flow monitoring and smart water, as well as an Apprentice Instrumentation competition, stated the release.

The Flow Forum, taking place Nov. 5, includes presentations from water companies, MCERTS inspectors and construction partners who will share their experiences in flow measurement, and flow meter manufacturers will also present some of the latest measurement techniques, reported the release.

The Apprentice Instrumentation Competition will be held during the afternoon session of the Flow Forum and contestants from England’s water and sewage companies are required to perform a range of instrumentation related tasks in front of an audience of industry professionals, with competition prizes being provided by a number of industry sponsors, including training packages and complementary tickets to the WWEM 2014 Gala Dinner, continued the release.

The SMART Water Forum will take place on the second day and includes a UKWIR dissemination workshop, featuring a study, which has been ongoing for 18 months, on instrumentation, process automation and control in wastewater, noted the release.
