EXAIR's compact Cabinet Cooler is a low cost way to purge and cool electrical control panels, protecting sensitive electronics from heat, dirt and moisture. They convert ordinary compressed air to 20°F without refrigerants or CFCs. This air is circulated through the enclosure to eliminate high temperature malfunction. Cooling capacities up to 5,600 Btu/hr. are available. The UL-listed system includes a compressed air filter to assure no moisture or dust inside the panel. Optional thermostat control minimizes compressed air use. EXAIR Corp., Cincinnati, OH, 800-903-9247, www.exair.com

NanoCeram-PACB™ high capacity activated carbon filters increase chlorine adsorption. NanoCeram-PAC™, Argonide's original carbon-based product, is capable of removing small particles (including bacteria and virus) using the principal of electrostatic attraction/adsorption with ultrafine powder activated carbon (PAC) adsorbing soluble contaminants from water; all at high flow rates. This new material incorporates a pleated wrap of NanoCeram-PAC media around a carbon block core. Argonide Corp., Sanford, FL, 407-322-2500, www.argonide.com

Cole-Parmer's new line of MASTERFLEX B/T process pumps are redesigned to enable enhanced bulk transfer of viscous and shear-sensitive fluids. At its core is a pump head door that opens fully to allow easy access to change or inspect tubing. Optimal occlusion is automatic when the door is closed and latched. A secure retention mechanism grips the PerfectPosition™ tubing for trouble-free loading and prevents tubing creep or roll. A new flush-mounted, corrosion-proof latch also offers one-handed opening and closing without tools. Cole-Parmer, Vernon Hills, IL, 800-323-4340, www.coleparmer.com/3996

Ideal for surge control and energy savings, Val-Matic's Ener•G™ AWWA Resilient Seated Ball Valve fully complies with AWWA C507. It features the advantages of a standard fusion bonded epoxy interior and exterior coating and a bi-directional resilient Tri-Loc™ seating system for a low friction, wear resistant seat that allows easy adjustment or replacement without removing the valve from the line. When fully open, it provides 100% flow area equal to the pipe size and represents a significant savings in pumping costs compared to other pump control valves verified through independent testing. Starch-based absorbent polymer

Industrial product engineers seeking high-quality, sustainable products for fluid management solutions now have access to a superabsorbent ingredient made from corn starch. Marketed under the name Reon™, it's capable of retaining 500 times its weight in water, and is designed to manage water and fluids in a range of industrial products and applications. It's sustainable, more functional and safe, and biodegrades quickly after its useful life – unlike petroleum-based polymers. Uses are being expanded by ATI, a private company that recently enlarged its Albany, OR, plant for growth in industrial applications.
