Alliance Data Systems to provide CIS services to Hampton Roads Sanitation District

DALLAS, TX Aug. 3, 2005 -- Alliance Data Systems Corp., a service provider for outsourced customer care and billing for water, gas, electric and wastewater clients, announced that its utility services business is working with Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) to provide a breadth of consulting services related to CIS selection, improvement of business processes and project management.

The agreement highlights Alliance's utilities consulting capabilities, and ability to customize solutions for its water, gas and electric clients. HRSD provides wastewater services to more than 1.6 million people in 17 cities and counties throughout southeast Virginia.

Under terms of the agreement, Alliance is providing the following services for HRSD: strategic sourcing and CIS selection, which was recently completed in February; redefining and streamlining of business processes that coincide with the CIS; and project management to ensure a successful implementation of the CIS. The agreement reflects Alliance's unique ability to offer a "one stop shop" for consulting services�from leading a utility through the initial complex software selection process to actual implementation and project management. It also reflects Alliance's ability to provide customized solutions for utility clients, the delivery of which is efficient and within the required timeframe.
