SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 26, 2002 -- Colorado Springs Utilities has purchased the Brio Performance Suite™ for business intelligence to increase insight and improve the performance of more than 1,700 employees across six divisions.
As a community-owned organization, Colorado Springs Utilities provides utility services, including gas, water, electric and wastewater, to the citizens of Colorado Springs. During a major reorganization early in 2001, executives looked for ways to improve business intelligence from the various service departments and IT systems. Their goal was to deliver performance metrics reports that improve understanding of and insight on both individual and organizational performance.

Robust, yet easy-to-use charting capabilities will eventually enable employees to log in daily to view their personal performance metrics and measure progress against the organization's overall business goals.
