WERF accepting research program proposals

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The program funds studies that advance society’s understanding of water quality issues.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Researchers can submit pre-proposals for the Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) 2015 Unsolicited Research Program, according to a press release.

The program funds research that advances society’s understanding of water quality issues, noted the release. It also focuses on providing challenges facing wastewater and stormwater programs.

“Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, conveyance systems; wastewater treatment; reuse; solids management; condition assessment and infrastructure management; energy efficiency; decentralized collection and treatment systems; risk assessment and communication; watershed management and water quality; and other emerging issues,” shared the release.

The program encourages applications to emphasize innovative technologies at wastewater and stormwater facilities, stated the release.
