Anheuser-Busch partners with Baswood in effort to achieve sustainability goals

Through the 100+ Accelerator program, Anheuser-Busch and Baswood, an innovator in technology-based wastewater and biosolids management solutions, partnered to pilot the proprietary BioViper technology at Karbach Brewing Co. in Houston, Texas, one of the brewer’s local craft partners looking for solutions to protect water quality in its local community by pretreating wastewater before discharging it to the city of Houston.

The pilot lowered sludge production as compared to conventional technologies (up to 70% less), required minimal operator intervention and achieved an average biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) removal of over 95%.

Pack Expo attendees can learn more about Baswood technologies on September 23–25 in the Upper South Hall at booth US 8367. Baswood and AB InBev will also be presenting a look into their partnership and how together they are helping reduce water scarcity on Tuesday, September 24 at 2 p.m. at Innovation Stage 3 (C-1041).
