Quench acquires Macke Water Systems

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. — Founded more than 25 years ago, Macke has operations in 13 states.

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. — Quench USA, an independent provider of filtered water coolers and ice dispensers in North America, announced that it has acquired Macke Water Systems, based in Wheeling, Ill., according to a press release.

Founded more than 25 years ago, Macke has grown to become one of the largest commercial drinking water and coffee-service companies in the U.S., with operations in 13 states and customers across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, South and West, the release reported.

“We are excited to welcome the Macke team and customer base,” said Quench Chief Executive Officer Tony Ibarguen. “This combination adds tremendous talent, extends our national sales and service capabilities and brings valuable product and service offerings to our nearly 40,000 combined customers.”

Quench Chairman Douglas Brown added, “The acquisition of Macke is part of Quench’s broader plan to grow both organically and through strategic acquisitions, facilitated by Quench’s efficient operating platform and access to capital.”

Phil Seiden, founder and CEO of Macke, who joins the Quench management team, said, “Macke is thrilled to become part of the Quench family. Together, we’ll be able to provide our customers enhanced service capability across the U.S. as well as the broadest selection of filtered water coolers, ice dispensers, coffee and specialty products.”
