ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Water Environment Federation (WEF) proudly announces that WEFTEC — WEF’s Annual Technical Exhibition & Conference — has been recognized as one of the nation’s fastest-growing trade shows by Trade Show Executive (TSE), according to a press release.
WEFTEC 2013 was part of a group of 90 U.S. trade shows that were named in this year’s TSE Fastest 50, specifically ranking 14th in the attendance growth category.
The select group was honored in May 2014 in Chicago, Ill. at the Trade Show Executive Fastest 50 Awards and Summit, where WEFTEC was also presented as one of twelve featured case studies for best practices and notable achievement, noted the release.
“Since 1928, WEF has worked hard to make WEFTEC of great value to our members and the entire water profession. The success of each year solidifies a well-earned reputation as the must-attend event for those seeking to be leaders in sustainable water management, best practices, and cutting-edge innovation,” said WEF Executive Director Eileen O’Neill. “This recognition from Trade Show Executive is a great honor that helps us show that a legacy event such as WEFTEC can consistently achieve record gains in attendance, which in our view, equates to recognition of quality by the profession that WEF is committed to serve.”
The Fastest 50 Awards & Summit is an annual forum for national and international show managers to learn, network and celebrate industry achievements. At the event, TSE honors the fastest-growing trade shows held in the U.S. during the previous year.
According to the publication, the selected trade shows eclipsed all others in 2013 by growing dramatically more in net square feet of exhibit space, exhibitors and/or attendance, stated the release.
Scheduled for Sept. 27-Oct. 1 at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La., WEFTEC 2014 will feature 145 technical sessions, 35 workshops, 11 mobile sessions, 8 facility tours, numerous events and nearly 1,000 exhibiting companies displaying the latest in water quality research technology and services.
