STT Begins Strategic Partnership with UK Tank Manufacturer

April 7, 2020

Milton, ON — Canadian-based STT Storage & Transfer Technologies (STT), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Carmeuse, has announced a strategic partnership with Balmoral Tanks.

UK-based Balmoral Tanks, a division of Balmoral Group Holdings Ltd, designs and manufactures products used by the water, wastewater, anaerobic digestion, agriculture, mining and aquaculture sectors.

“Balmoral’s reputation for providing the very best product quality and unrivaled customer service made this an easy decision for us and we look forward to bringing Balmoral Tanks’ accredited products to our local markets.” said Jan Arciszewski, STT’s general manager.

“This decision was also aided by the strong alignment between our core values at STT and those of Balmoral Tanks as both companies espouse a customer-centric approach that adds value through long-term commitment, innovation and efficiency throughout the equipment life cycle, which you can see in the long history and strong balance sheets of both STT and Balmoral Tanks.”

“Following extensive research into the Canadian market it was clear that we needed a strong partner with broad experience of the storage tank industry. With over 40 years’ experience and in-depth knowledge of bolted tank supply and construction, STT stood out as the strongest candidate and we welcome them to the ‘Balmoral Growth Initiative’”, said Simon Scott, Balmoral’s export sales director.

Traditionally focused in Western Canada, STT’s new partnership with Balmoral Tanks is strategically aligned with its efforts to expand its liquid storage tank operations throughout the rest of Canada. By offering complete liquid storage solutions to municipal and industrial customers via Balmoral Tank’s expansive product portfolio, STT is well-positioned for growth in the Canadian liquid storage tank market.

Simon Scott added: “Our portfolio which includes GRP and steel sectional tanks, galvanized steel tanks, epoxy and glass-fused-to-steel tanks demonstrates that we provide one of the widest product choices of any tank company in the world while supporting our distribution network with unparalleled marketing, technical, engineering and project management support.”

STT designs, builds, owns, operates, and maintains dry bulk chemical processing, handling, and storage systems that exceed customers’ safety, efficiency, and reliability standards. The company also provides aftermarket parts, maintenance and service for systems, dry bulk storage and liquid tank applications.
