Aproven leader of providing clean air solutions, Purafil is a single-source manufacturer of filters, systems and instrumentation for preventing odors, protecting critical electronics from corrosion and eliminating the risk of toxic gas releases. Purafil's latest addition to its air filtration systems is the Biological Air Treater (BAT), which provides more efficient and cost-effective odor abatement, with better hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and VOC treatment than other biological removal systems.

The fixed film bio-trickling filter technology was obtained through exclusive licensing with Honeywell Process Solutions and has been proven in various odor-control applications over the past 15 years. With its proprietary mixture of specially formulated cubes and spacers, the BAT prevents plugging and channeling, providing a lower pressure drop and requiring little to no maintenance.

Purafil offers a variety of high-efficiency odor control systems for municipal facilities. The company's dry-scrubbing media and systems are a low-maintenance and economical solution to eliminate odorous gases from sewage collection and processing operations.

Purafil's primary dry-scrubbing media for odor control systems, Odorcarb™ Ultra media, has the highest removal capacity available on the market for hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S).

The company's toxic gas scrubbers have been proven in various global facilities storing 150 lbs to more than three tons of hazardous chlorine (Cl2), sulfur dioxide (SO2) or ammonia (NH3). Purafil's Emergency Gas Scrubber (EGS) mitigates the entire contents of a fully loaded cylinder in a worst case release scenario. This unit typically contains Chlorosorb® Ultra dry-scrubbing media, which has the highest chlorine gas removal capacity by weight, and can reduce concentrations to as low as 25 parts per billion at discharge.

Purafil media can also be used for corrosion protection of electronics. The company has varied instrumentation to monitor corrosive gases, such as the Corrosive Classification Coupons (CCCs) and the industry-leader OnGuard® 3000.

While CCCs are a great tool to passively measure the levels of gaseous contaminants that form in the air over a 30 day period, the OnGuard 3000 provides real-time monitoring of corrosive gases such as sulfur dioxide (SO2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and other acidic gases found in modern urban environments and near industrial facilities. Real-time monitoring enables customers to prevent corrosion before severe damage occurs.

For over 40 years, Purafil's gas-phase media has protected environments from corrosive, toxic, irritant and odorous gases. Purafil, Inc. is the world leader in innovating, designing, engineering and manufacturing gas-phase air filtration systems, atmospheric and reactivity corrosion monitors and UL classified granular media. Purafil maintains nearly 40,000 global installations in industrial, commercial, municipal, healthcare, cleanroom, mission critical (data centers and server rooms), power generation and preservation facilities.

Purafil's ongoing commitment to quality, customer satisfaction and safety are exemplified through continuous research and development of new clean air technologies and by earning the latest ISO 9001:2008 certification, along with numerous industry awards.
