Washdown water from a tank truckwash operation was flowing at 30 gpm, containing 5 ppm BETX and 10 ppm oil. The client was changing GAC seven times a year to be in compliance with discharge regulations. This amounted to 7,499.1 pounds of carbon per year at a cost of $6,274.2 with labor costs at $7,221.60. A device that removes phosphorus contamination from water won important validation from the NASA-funded Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program (SATOP). The program offers free technical help to small businesses through U.S. Space Program expertise. Membrane prefiltration

Rense Instruments’ new S-503 relative humidity generator/calibrator can generate and hold RH values of 10-90% in 0.1% RH steps.
