Corrosion protection

CorrBlock™ from Cortec is a time release, biodegradable corrosion inhibitor block that is excellent for open loop recirculating cooling systems and wastewater systems. This safe-to-handle and easy-to-apply block is formulated with renewable soybean-based wax and Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI®) technology. Immersed in water, CorrBlock™ slowly dissolves and releases calculated inhibitor amounts that protect systems from corrosion. VpCIs are excellent replacements for chromates, nitrites, and other restricted corrosion inhibitors. They form a strong monomolecular layer on metal surfaces and protect in all three phases: liquid, vapor, and interphase. CorrBlock™ is compatible with most commercially available biocides and antiscalants.


Pipelining system

The Nu Line blown-in epoxy pipelining system from Nu Flow, part of Aquam Corp, is an epoxy resin that can be used to repair or inhibit corrosion in pipe systems. Relining pipes with Nu Line can be carried out at one-third of the cost of replacing existing pipes. It can be used on supply pipes and even household plumbing of the smallest diameter, in the 10 to 300 mm range.

Monthly odor control service

OMI Industries now offers a Monthly Fee Odor Control Service Program. The all-inclusive, turnkey, full service program provides a complete odor management solution. As an alternative to a capital investment, the Monthly Fee Odor Control Service Program allows municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants to contract Ecosorb® Odor Control systems manufactured by OMI Industries. These systems are environmentally friendly and eliminate odors without the use of harsh masking agents. The contract terms range from 2 to 3 years, with incentives on options to renew enrollment.

Sulfide odor control

USP Technologies’ proprietary technology called PRI-SC®(Peroxide Regenerated Iron-Sulfide Control®) is a combination treatment that integrates iron salts with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in a synergistic fashion. At the most basic level, PRI-SCtreatment may be viewed as an oxidant (hydrogen peroxide) regenerating the spent iron salt (FeS) in-situ, yielding fresh ferrous (Fe+2) or ferric (Fe3+) iron and colloidal sulfur.

Ozone generator

The O3-60 from SeeWater Inc. is an ozone generator designed to produce 60 grams of ozone per hour, which can be used to purify air or treat water by diffusing it through a column of water. Features include dynamic engineered cooling systems and thermal high-heat shutdown, all housed in a NEMA-4X polycarbonate enclosure. Excellent for removal of odors in many types of wastewater, including soluble oil and industrial waste tanks.
